Public Participation

Menzie-Cura’s goal is to ensure public transparency in the peer consultation process. As a result, information about the process, documents relevant to the process, and announcements regarding opportunities for interested parties to participate in the process are available at this website. Menzie-Cura will also contact stakeholders and interested parties via mail to announce opportunities for involvement.

The following announcements and documents will be posted on the website as the process progresses:

  1. Opportunity for interested parties to propose peer consultation group nominees
  2. Peer consultation group meeting announcement and notice that it will be open to the public.
  3. Links to documents provided to the peer consultation group (i.e. those specified in the Memorandum of Understanding (EPA, 2004) and any other documents deemed relevant by Menzie-Cura)
  4. Links to documents generated as part of the Process (e.g., minutes of conference calls or meetings and the final Meeting Report)

Interested parties may propose nominees for the peer consultation group by submitting via mail or email:

  1. A letter describing the candidate’s qualifications; and,
  2. The candidate’s curriculum vitae (CV).

Interested parties can submit brief written comments addressing scientific and technical matters for consideration at the peer consultation group meeting via mail or email. Comments received by Menzie-Cura two weeks prior to the meeting will be considered at the meeting.

If persons wish to make a brief oral statement at the peer consultation group meeting, they can contact Menzie-Cura at least two weeks prior to the meeting to schedule a time to do so.
